Hoje mais do que nunca, é imperativo que toda a sociedade contribua para um ambiente mais saudável e sobretudo sustentável.

Mais do que urgente, é obrigatório mudar o paradigma das deslocações diárias, principalmente dentro das cidades.

A bicicleta é muito mais do que um meio para fazer desporto. Acreditamos que a utilização da bicicleta, pela sua versatilidade, autonomia e modularidade, irá assumir um papel de destaque no paradigma da mobilidade sustentável, no lazer e inclusivamente no turismo.

Já não há desculpas!!! Para além das bicicletas convencionais, há atualmente uma panóplia diversificada de bicicletas com assistência elétrica, cujas características as colocam numa posição de clara vantagem face aos restantes meios de transporte.

Desde as vantagens fiscais, aos requisitos legais que cumprem, aos benefícios para a saúde (publica e do utilizador) à possibilidade de integração com outros meios de transporte e ao desenvolvimento da economia local, as vantagens são claras e indiscutíveis.

Há, contudo, ainda um longo caminho a percorrer e acreditamos que o caminho se faz pedalando!!!

Cabe-nos a todos sem exceção construir esse caminho, incentivando, ajudando quem se inicia, promovendo, educando e demonstrando aos nossos governantes e a todos os cidadãos que a ciclo-revolução é possível, útil e necessária.

É imperativo criar mais e melhores redes integradas de ciclovias e transportes, promover uma cultura de respeito e bom senso face aos utilizadores deste meio de transporte e educar os mais novos.

E tu, vais fazer parte da ciclo-revolução, ou vais continuar “confortavelmente” à espera que nada mude?

Today more than ever, it is imperative that the whole society contributes to a healthier and above all sustainable environment.

It is mandatory to change the paradigm of daily commuting, especially within cities.

The bicycle is much more than a means to do sport. We believe that the use of the bicycle, due to its versatility, autonomy and modularity, will play a prominent role in the paradigm of sustainable mobility, leisure and even tourism.

There are no more excuses!!! In addition to conventional bicycles, there is now a diverse array of electrically assisted bikes, whose characteristics put them in a position of clear advantage over other means of transport.

From the tax advantages, to the legal requirements that they fulfil, to the health benefits (public and for the user) to the integration with other modes of transport and the development of the local economy, the advantages are clear and unquestionable.

However, there is still a long way to go and we believe that the path is done by pedalling!!!

It is up to us all without exception to build this path by encouraging, helping those who start, promoting, educating and demonstrating to our rulers and all citizens that the cycle revolution is possible, useful and necessary.

It is imperative to create more and better integrated bicycle and transport networks, encourage a culture of respect and common sense towards users of this mode of transport and educate the young.
